I currently hold appointments at Baylor University's Hankamer School of Business as the Frank S. Groner Memorial Chair of Finance and Professor of Finance & Insurance. I have previously held business school faculty appointments at three other universities: Louisiana State University, University of Texas at Austin, and Pennsylvania State University. 

At Baylor, I teach courses in risk management and financial engineering, and my research interests are in risk management, insurance economics, and option pricing theory and applications. I currently serve as an associate editor for Geneva Risk and Insurance Review and Journal of Risk and Insurance, and I am a past President of two academic associations: the American Risk and Insurance Association and the Risk Theory Society.
